Solutions for Manufacturing Challenges Where Standard Approaches Fall Short
AMB 2026 may be over, but the conversations and ideas continue. At the heart of our exhibition presence were demanding manufacturing challenges where precision, process reliability and productivity must work together.
With the Heckert X90 and the new Bumotec 171, we showcased two very different machine concepts for equally different requirements: from productive 5-axis horizontal machining of large workpieces to complete machining of small, complex precision components.
Thank you to everyone who visited us for the valuable conversations and the professional exchange at our booth.
Heckert X90 at AMB
More Freedom for the Right Spindle. More Productivity for Your Workpiece.
The right Heckert solution for your production is not determined by the letter in the machine name. What matters is the requirement of your component: 4-axis or 5-axis machining, workpiece size, spindle concept, process reliability, and productivity.
H, S, or X? In short:
- The H Series is designed for productive 4-axis horizontal machining.
- The S Series offers powerful 5-axis solutions for large workpieces with pallet sizes from 1,000 to 1,800 mm.
- The X Series takes it one step further: the fifth axis is located on the workpiece side.
This creates greater freedom on the spindle side, and that is often where productivity is decided. When geometry, material, and machining strategy require a specific spindle, the Heckert X90 provides the flexibility you need.
At AMB 2026, visitors experienced the Heckert X90 up close. The machine concept combines:
- 5-axis horizontal machining
- 800 × 1,000 mm pallet size
- up to 2,000 kg payload
- workpiece diameter of up to 1,600 mm and
- a machine concept designed for stable processes, optimal chip disposal, and maximum productivity!

World Premiere: Bumotec 171
Small workpieces. High demands. A focused process.
At AMB 2026, we showcased the Bumotec 171, our latest multi-process machining center for demanding bar-fed components. Developed for applications in the watchmaking, medical, dental and aerospace industries.
Milling and turning. Complete machining from bar stock. Precision starting at a workpiece weight of 2 grams.
The Bumotec 171 is the latest development in a proven series. It is designed for applications where complete machining is required, but not every possible machine option adds value to the process.
At AMB, we demonstrated a live medical machining application. Delicate geometries and small workpieces met a continuous and reliable machining process.
If you are looking to manufacture complex precision components economically and reliably, let's talk about your application.
