Division CEO Starrag
Martin Buyle
Martin Buyle (1974, Austrian) has been CEO of Starrag Group since 1 April 2023.
From 2020 to 2022 he was Managing Director of Starrag Technology GmbH, where he was responsible for the realignment of the Starrag Group's large machinery business and implemented the restructuring tasks. From 2014 to 2019, he was CEO of Orell Füssli AG, a listed industrial and trading group. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2014 he was CEO and member, from 2013 Chairman of the Group Management of Jakob Müller AG, a world market leader in textile machinery manufacturing. From 2005 to 2009 he was Managing Director of Kramer Werke GmbH, responsible for R&D, production, purchasing, finance and administration. From 2002 to 2005 he was Senior Consultant Competence Center Engineered Products/High-Tech at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Munich. Before that, from 1997 to 2000, he was development engineer at MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH.
Martin Buyle holds a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA for IESE Business School.

Alexander Attenberger
Alexander Attenberger (1977, German) has been responsible for the Sales division of the Starrag Group since April 2020.
He previously worked for the German Grob Werke since 2013, first as a Head of Department and then as Division Manager of Sales of universal machines. From 2010 to 2012, he was the Executive Vice President of Sales Industrial Equipment at MAG IAS. Between 2007 and 2010, he worked for Deckel Maho Pfronten, first as the Head of Back Office Sales, then as Sales Director for horizontal machining centres. From 2003 to 2007, he was the Product Sales Manager Milling at DMG München Vertriebs und Service GmbH.
Alexander Attenberger is a Precision Engineering Master and an HWK (Chamber of Crafts) Business Economist.
Head of Customer Service
Günther Eller
Günther Eller (1960, German) has been Head of Customer Service at Starrag Group since 2007.
He previously held various management positions at OC Oerlikon’s sales and customer service units beginning in 1986. From 2001 to 2006 he was Managing Director of the Business Unit Customer Service of the company’s Data Storage Division. He served as Managing Director of a sales and service subsidiary for OC Oerlikon’s engineering business from 1995 to 2001 and prior to that he held various sales and key account management positions.
Günther Eller has a degree in engineering physics.
Head of Business Ultra Precision Machining Systems
Jean-Daniel Isoz
Jean-Daniel Isoz (1959, Swiss) has been Head of the Business Unit Ultra Precision Machining Systems, which comprises the Bumotec and SIP product lines since 1 July 2019.
Previously, he was responsible for the market segments Luxury Goods, Micromechanics and Med Tech within the former Business Unit Precision Engineering since 2015. Before he was responsible for the former Business Unit 4 for the brand Bumotec in Sâles (Switzerland) and SIP in Geneva (Switzerland). Prior to that, he had served as CEO of SIP Société d’Instruments de Précision SA from 2006. After first working as sales manager for SIP from 2000 - 2002, he took over as CEO of Bula Machines until end-2005. Previously, he had acquired 15 years of experience in various management positions in production and customer services for Bobst SA in Lausanne, USA and Asia.
Mr. Isoz holds a degree in electrical engineering and has completed Finance and Marketing programs at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
Head Business Unit Large Parts Machining Systems
Rainer Hansjürgens
Rainer Hansjürgens (1970, German) is Head of the Business Unit Large Parts Machining Systems since 1 November 2022, which comprises the Berthiez, Döriries and Droop+Rein product lines.
He had previously worked at DMG MORI since 2017, first as Managing Director of Deutschland GmbH and then as Managing Director of Gildemeister Drehmaschinen GmbH. From 2012 to 2016, as Head of Production and Logistics, he was responsible for 3 production plants of ARI Armaturen GmbH & Co. KG. From 2006 to 2012 he headed the division Manufacturing Systems at ELHA Maschinenbau Liemke KG. From 2002 to 2005 he was production manager at Droop + Rein and from 1996 to 2002 he worked at ELHA Maschinenbau Liemke KG, first as a constructor and later as plant manager for assembly and production.
Rainer Hansjürgens is an Industrial Mechanic and Dipl.-Ing. Mechanical Engineering.
Head Business Unit High Performance Machining Systems
Christian Kurtenbach
Christian Kurtenbach (1967, German) has been Head of Business Unit High Performance Machining Systems since 5 June 2023, which - after merging with the Business Unit High Horizontal Machining Systems - comprises the Ecospeed, Heckert, Starrag and TTL product lines.
Previously, he was Head of Business Unit High Performance Systems, which comprises the Starrag, Ecospeed and TTL product lines, since 1 Februar 2023. Before that, he had worked at Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH since 2014. There he was responsible for various change projects in the production environment. Has integrated and is responsible for the global manufacturing strategy. In addition, he was division manager and CEO of Paatz Viernau GmbH. From 1991 to 2014 he was self-employed in the areas of contract manufacturing, component assembly, robotics, automation and robotics for school and training.
Christian Kurtenbach studied mechanical engineering and production technology at the Ulm University of Applied Sciences and is a master of precision mechanics.
